ABTA convention to boost the promotion of Gran Canaria within the British market

The event – the British tourist sector’s largest – will gather close to 1,500 professionals in Gran Canaria from 6 to 8 October. The ABTA fair will become one of the most significant campaigns in recent years to promote our destination within the British market.

The ABTA convention will boost the promotion of Gran Canaria within the British market, our second largest one, with 666,635 tourists. The meeting of The United Kingdom’s top sector organization – with 5,500 registered tour agents and 900 tour operators – will gather some 1,000 delegates from 6 to 9 October at the Maspalomas Conference Centre.

ABTA’s annual convention will promote Gran Canaria as destination for Britons, who represent the island’s second largest market as to client volume, after having ranked first from 2002 to 2004. The meeting will be the third ABTA convention held on the Canary Islands.

Gran Canaria has non-stop flight connections with more than 20 airports within Great Britain.
