Description

Elder Museum of Science and Technology

Over twenty display areas devoted to the reconstruction and reproduction of mankind’s greatest scientific advances make up this interactive science awareness centre, whose motto is “Forbidden not to touch”.

The museum is housed in a building that has a surface area of close to 7,000m2, most of which is used as exhibition areas. Due to the interactive and didactic nature of most of the exhibits, the museum has become an indispensable resource for all students – as well as members of the public in general – who wish to learn more about the world of science. The museum also has a cinema projection room with a big screen.

From Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 - 20:00

Permanent exhibitions: The various exhibition halls contain exhibits of everything from an army F-5 to a replica of a space station, all exhibits being didactical in nature. The museum also houses the Blas Cabrera Science Workshop, the Agustín Bethencourt Section, the La Pirinola Hall… all of which have the same purpose, namely to place scientific information within the reach of the public.

Temporary exhibitions: related to the specialized subject matter of the museum.
