Heading towards the town of Tunte, the Necropolis Arteara-Oasis can be found with more than a thousand burial mounds.
Roque Nublo

The Rural Park del Nublo is home to a unique habitat of an abundance of endemic species. The forest masses play an important role in the replenishment of the subterranean aquifer and in the conservation of the forest floor, aside from representing one of the most characteristic systems of the Canaries: that of the pine.
This park has noteworthy structures such as the caldera of the basin of Tejeda, the ravines of the southwest or the Roque Nublo.
Pico de las Nieves

El Pico de las Nieves (Snowy Peak), at 1,949 meters above sea level, is the highest peak on Gran Canaria.
Its name comes from the seventeenth century construction of a variety of wells to house snow that was then taken to the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where it was commercialized for foods conservation or consumed as ice cream.
Degollada Becerra Interpretation Centre
Found between the Cruz de Tejeda and the Llanos de la Pez, this is the Interpretation Centre of the Biosphere Reserve. From this centre you can take in the entire Caldera de Tejeda and the rocks of el Nublo and of Bentayga.
La Cruz de Tejeda
La Cruz de Tejeda, located in the centre of Gran Canaria at an altitude of 1,560 meters, is the mountainous spot from which the majestic Roque Nublo and the imposing ravines and cliffs dominate. The lookout building, designed by the Gran Canarian painter Nestor Martin Fernandez de la Torre and then recently reformed, stands out for its magnificent views and its large cross that presides over the entrance.
Tejeda

Some kilometres below the Cruz de Tejeda the picturesque village of Tejeda is found, known for its blossoming almond trees, bienmesabe (fried milk) and marzipan.
Among its white washed houses, the parochial church of Nuestra Señora del Socorro (Our Lady of Help) juts out, and together with the sculpture museum Abraham Cardenes, the medicinal plant centre and ethnographic museum, they represent the most important places of cultural and artistic interest in the municipality.
Montañón negro and Pinos de Galdar
From la Cruz de Tejeda you can reach the natural monuments of the Montañón Negroand the Pinos de Galdar, two geomorphic structures representative of an insular volcano, largely unique and scientifically remarkable.
Moya

The small village of Moya has such illustrative buildings as the church Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, the House of Tomás Morales Museum, and the Heredad de Aguas (Inheritance of Water). To arrive, you must cross the Laurel ravine (that covers the entire natural reserve of Los Tilos-the lime trees) or you can also continue down the general road that goes along the Fontanales, known for its gastronomy and agriculture.
Playa de Las Canteras-Auditorio

Las Canteras Beach is special for both its enclosed underwater splendour (with more than 200 different species of algae or sebadales, and abundant fisheries) as for its unique corral reef that naturally protects the shoreline by breaking the waves beyond it.
It is known as La Barra (The Bar). It has three kilometres of beach, amenities for the disabled, security and hygiene services, and a generous offering of restaurants and aquatic sports. Along its coast the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium is found, centre of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria International Film Festival, host of concerts, as well as international conferences.
