This is the very brief story of Bob Bifsoon, the man who heeded no attention to what the rest said.

Bob Bifsoon was an accountant working for a screw factory. This was a steady job, in a heated office, but far from Bob Bifsoon’s dream place. Because deep inside John wanted just one thing: to be a surfer.

This is what the rest said on the matter:

- “Bob, you are 33. You cannot become a surfer now.
- “Bob, you live far away from the beach. Where do you intend to learn?
- “Bob, do you believe life is like an American movie?

And this is what Bob did about the matter:

- He went to the nearest travel agency after work.
- He bought a plane ticket to the island of Gran Canaria.
- He locked his house door and took the cat to a neighbour’s.
- He reached Gran Canaria soon afterwards and went straight to Las Canteras Beach at the capital city.

He carried a suitcase with swimming trunks and a toothbrush on one hand. On the other, he had a list of the perfect spots where to learn to stand on a board, the perfect spots where to learn to jump on the water... the right places for those who never listen to others telling them what they can and cannot become.

And this was the list Bob Bifsoon had in his hand...
