The World Tourism Organization has chosen Gran Canaria as host for the World Tourism Day, to be held on the 27th September. Down at the tourist enclave of Maspalomas, which commemorates 50 years of its brand ‘Maspalomas, Costa Canaria’, a large number of professionals and researchers will come together to debate on the present and future of world tourist activity: the future of the business, the sustainability of the destinations, and the sustainability of energy in tourist infrastructures.
