Description

On display here are the works of Néstor (1887-1938), one of Spain?s leading symbolist painters and one of the most unusual painters of the European movement. As well as the painter?s most important canvases, portraits, landscapes, theatre plans, architecture, craftwork, drawings and sketches by the artist are also on show.

The Néstor Museum forms part of the `Pueblo Canario´ complex or Canarian Village, together with a restaurant and commercial premises, whose architecture is known as `neo-canary´. The architectural complex was built by Néstor?s brother Miguel Fernández de la Torre.

From Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 - 20:00
Sunday: 10:30 - 14:30

Permanent exhibitions: This exhibition features the artist?s masterpieces such as ?Epitalamio? (Epithalamion) and ?El niño arquero? (The boy archer) and two of his main series ? ?The Poem of the Sea? (or The Atlantic Poem) and ?The Poem of the Land?. Portraits, landscapes, theatre plans, architecture and craftwork, among other works, are also on display.

Temporary exhibitions: Exhibitions are held featuring different views of the artist?s works and his times, as well as exhibitions of other symbolist or modern artists.
