In the deep ravines sculptured by nature over millions of years, the inland area (between the towns of Mogán and La Aldea de San Nicolás) is home to a spectacular volcanic crater, with etchings dotted among its stones. Sand Nativity Scene on Las Canteras beach Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
Made by sand sculptors from all over the world, the Las Canteras Sand Nativity Scene is a real Christmas icon 🎄 in Gran Canaria and throughout the rest of Spain, as it is the only sand nativity scene of its size (over 1,000 m2) displayed on the beach during the Christmas period 🏖. Thanks to the skill of the world’s best sand sculptors, from countries such as Holland, Belgium, Italy, Canada or Russia, its construction truly symbolises Gran Canaria’s Christmas spirit. This Nativity scene receives around 200,000 visitors every year as a unique masterpiece that has become one of the best known throughout the world 🌎.
