Being located in one of the main tourist areas in the South of Gran Canaria, this harbour and the village in which it is situated have undergone considerable development, but without sacrificing the essential seafaring character of the village.
The harbour is sheltered by a 429, 33 metre-long seawall, which is used by the local fishing fleet as well as the boats that operate the regular sea routes.
There are also 3 floating quays, which are used by the smaller fishing boats and pleasure boats.
The harbour provides 24-hour surveillance and all the mooring places have electricity and water supply. The dry dock has a 70-tonne travelift, a crane with a capacity of 3 tonnes, workshops that do repairs and other businesses that supply ships.
