Description

Because of its arrangement, Las Cumbres or the summit of the mountains plays a significant role in maintaining essential ecological processes such as water harnessing, as it is situated on the north front and in the peaks of the island. The majority of the tops of the main northwest ravines are located here. Reservoirs are located in the lowest section of most of these ravines. Endemic and endangered species are abundant here, such as silver lace (Tanacetum ptarmiciflorum). As a whole, it is a typical mountain top landscape and is very beautiful.
Location: Artenara, Gáldar, Santa Mª de Guía, Moya, Valleseco, Tejeda, San Mateo and Valsequillo.
