Datos de Museos de Gran Canaria

The Néstor Álamo Museum is in Santa María de Guía, in the north of Gran Canaria, in the very house where this noted composer was born in 1906. The building dates back to the second half of the 17th century, and is a typical Canarian manor.

The ground floor of the museum introduces us to the life of Néstor Álamo, his family and social life, and his different works, while the top floor provides a tour though the history of music in the Canary Islands from the time of the aborigines through to today.
